Why I use default Windows Media Player instead installing other one?

Now we have never-ending list with multimedia players. In our days computing power available in personal computers is enough for rich gamma of multimedia features, which have to offer one multimedia player. If someone make deep analysis of most players will see, that features like CD/DVD burning, disc riping, visual 3D effects and post-processing filters are a kind of mandatory minimum of features for each player so it can be named "The Multimedia Player".

But what we are using this multimedia players for? From the most simple, clear, compact to the best offering and lumber player, people expect only one thing. What thing?

To play list with digital audio and video content.

Incredible fact. Yes, I know that someone will say - this is not true! My super-duper plugins make miracles, I'm so happy to hear deep and volume 6ch audio or this beat-visualisation is wonderful. OK. People are different. But for man who uses his PC for doing some work and just listening some music in background this has no matter. In his case the player is just one software application which don't need to disturb man and even player should be hidden for the person to forgot him except the main advantage - listen some music at background.

Why do I say this, although all we know that the default Windows Media Player offers all of this features like burning, riping, visualization, etc.? Very simple.

I have it preinstalled immediately after I install my new Windows.

Why should I loose my time for searching a better player, to examine and setting it again? Yes. I'm lazy. I hate new things. I hate when I have to adapt to new software. The only one thing, which I need to do, is to right-click on desired file and select 'Add to Now Playing List'. My Equalizer is flat. I love to listen unspiced music. My visualizations are on 'No Visualization' option because my player always is minimized.

I'm not against other players. Contra wise. It is better to have other players. This will make developers of default Media Player to keep it more cleared from bugs, more useful and more lightweight.

I’m against making multimedia players look like application, which they are not.
