Hello dear reader,
Today i decided to switch the operating systems. As you may have noticed recently I write mainly Linux tutorials. Though I prefer Linux I cannot deny that Windows XP is very good and stable operating system. I have one old laptop that I use only for watching movies running Windows XP and has not been updated or reinstalled for more than 2 years now. That about the time I stopped using it actively. I haven't seen Linux distribution to last that long without updates. Anyway lets get back to the main topic.
So I will show you something very simple which however very few of the Windows users appears to know. And that is how to check the uptime of your Windows XP operating system.
We will use one very powerful command line tool called systeminfo It gives you all kind of different details and information for your operating system installation. But first what you need to do is get to the command prompt.
You can find a tutorial with screenshots here How to open a command prompt window.
Basically what you need to do is.
1. Go to "Start" -> "Run".
2. Write "CMD" and press on "Enter" key.
