Is it happaned to you, to hurry while powering on your computer and doing something other while
Windows finish booting up? And when you return back to PC, it is waiting for you to logon on Windows Welcome screen and you are the only person using the PC? Is this feels something nervous for you?
In this tutorial I will show you how to turn on
Auto Logon in Windows XP Welcome Screen and how to shorten a little bit time need for ready working state after your computer turned on.
To do this we will use some advanced features which is not available trough Control Panel by standard icon or preferences. Ok, Lets go now.
1. Press WinKey + R or click on Start button, and select Run command.
Note: You have to remember your user name at the top start of the Start menu, because you have to use it later.
2. In the Run box, type control userpasswords2 and click OK or just hit Enter.
3. This is alternative window for User Accounts preferences. Unlike standard User Accounts window here you can set some other advanced options.
Uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box. Press OK.
4. In the new window type desired User name and Password which you want to use for Auto Logon,
Now Auto Logon feature allows anyone who turn on your computer to use it without entering a password!
Note: Please have in mind that this feature is unsafe about privacy and any personal documents and files can be accessible by other users using this computer.
