To take a screenshot from Windows Media Player is not like classical grabbing screen from other Windows applications. Every time when I press Print Screen key to take a screenshot from Windows Media Player I receive the player's main window with blank sccreen for the movie frame which I try to take.

I start to thinking that this problem appear when I'm in play mode. So I paused the movie and tryed to take a screenshot again with Print Screen key. No result.

Then I paused the movie, switch to full screen mode and again take a shot with Print Screen key. No chance again.

Looking in Google I was found several websites which offered me to buy software specially designed for taking scrennshot from Windows Media Player. But I was thinking that have to be not so hard to find the way to done this without buying special software and I say may be i can fix this somewhere in Windows Media Player Options. After right click with mouse on Windows Media Player title bar I found Tools > Options menu.

1. Go to Performance Tab

3. From the new window in Video Acceleration section uncheck 'Use overlays' checkbox like shown on the picture below
4. Click on OK
