Always have time when you go to clean and organize the files and folder of your hard disk and when you go to delete some file or folder, sometimes Windows stop responding and the message like shown below appears on the screen.

Yes. The message clearly says:

Error deleting File or Folder
Cannot delete document: It is being used by another person or program.

But what means that? Used by another person? WTF? Used by another program? What program?

In some cases the file really was locked by other program for which you have forgotten. Usually this program staying minimized with opened file in it. In this case closing the file or program and trying to delete the file over again will be enough. But in other cases this is not the exact problem. The problem exist in Windows, because sometimes Windows leave opened handles to files without closing it after the file or application was closed. For this situation you can use freeware program called Unlocker. Unlcoker can be helpful also at:

- Cannot delete file: Access is denied
- There has been a sharing violation.
- The source or destination file may be in use.
- The file is in use by another program or user.
- Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

The program integrates to contextual menu appearing on right mouse click over the file or folder.

When you select Unlocker, window with list of all files/folders locked by any proccess will appear on the screen. You can select the file or folder which you want to unlock and click on Unlock button or just press Unlock All. Now you can delete current file or folder.
