This tutorial will show you how to use SubInACL.exe to Backup or restore NTFS permissions. SubInACL is a command-line tool that enables administrators to obtain security information about files, registry keys, and services, and transfer this information from user to user, from local or global group to group, and from domain to domain.

Serach Microsoft.com to find right version of SubInACL.msi.
In dos prompt type: Subinacl /noverbose /nostatistic /outputlog="Name of file" /subdirectories "*.*" /display

Backup NTFS permissions
This command winll backup permissions of all subdirectories and files in file with name: "Name of file".

In dos prompt type: Subinacl /nostatistic /playfile "Name of file" to restore permissions.
