Heading and lines with single shape
You are now faced with the problem of bringing a heading and text together with a shape within the design area. The shape, as I have said before, will represent perhaps photography or graphics. Remember, the role of these elements will be to perform their own function within the design. For example, you may wish the shape to play only a secondary role and the text to be prominent.
Alternatively, the shape may occupy almost the entire design area, whereas the heading and text are merely readable. It is up to you what effect you wish to create. The weight and fullness of your design, or even its emptiness, are under your control, as have been all the creative and visual decisions so far.
In order to test the possibilities, as you have previously done with your thumbnail sketches, you should mark a number of design areas on your paper to serve as sketching areas. Next, cut out your shape in different sizes to represent the graphics. I Take these cut-outs and move them around within the design area, bearing in mind all the time where I you wish to place the heading and text. When you arrive at an appealing arrangement, trace around 1 the shape, draw in your heading and text, and fill in the shape; you should be left with a design to consider. Produce many alternatives so that you can go I through the selection process, and once again, try out different media.
With Heading and lines with common shapes we will expand the theme a little bit.
