This tutorial will show you how to check your hard disk drive when you in DOS.

At DOS prompt type 'chkdsk' like shown below and the check will begin. While disk is checking and chkdsk found any problem will inform and ask you for confirmation to repair the errors.

After checking is completed statistical information will be displayed for status of your disk.
C:\>[b]chkdsk[/b]
The type of the file system is FAT32.
