Show desktop option back in KDE 4.3

I have been a Gnome user ever since I started using Linux as primary operating system. I do not know why exactly I choose Gnome since as most of you I have used Microsoft Windows operating system family products before, so KDE was the more intuitive migration. Anyway that was a long time ago and I have sticked to Gnome ever since.

Probably as most of you Linux users I was at first excited to try the new features that KDE 4 could offer. Unfortunately it all started as a big disappointment. We have to admit it that KDE 4.0 sucked. His successor KDE 4.1 sucked bad too. KDE 4.2 was a beam of light so I could not stand to see the newest KDE offspring. A small note me: I do not know where this curiosity comes from. Usually I would not try newest versions of some software when the first impression was so bad as it was with 4.0. However I'm so happy that it existed because now I could really say it out loud - I love KDE.

The thing that actually made me stick for the last week on KDE was that the showdesktop feature is back in KDE. I do not really know how this was on other distributions but on Archlinux this was not available until now. Not that i have spent so much time trying to find it but still I was forced to use the plasma dashboard instead for quite some time. No offence Mac users this could be quite useful at some times. I really love the way the widgets are set in Mac OS X but in KDE they were just not working as we needed them.

There were of course few things that I did not like at first but that is just because I was so used to these small features in Gnome applications. I have written a couple of tutorials how to fix this little problems.
