Are we secured?

Along with the large number of viruses in websites lies and other malicious software - spyware, adware, malware, toolbars, pop-ups and more. These "pests" you can "stick" without even feel them. The consequences are rarely fatal, but nevertheless we should be well protected. There are many programs to prevent similar spy and ad software, it should consider protecting your browser without meaning what he said.
Most people use the operating system like Microsoft Windows. Accordingly, the expected most used Internet browser is Internet Explorer. If you search trough Internet, you will notice that the glory of Internet Explorer is not very good in terms of security. So if you feel really threatened from that described above, use more secure browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google’s Chrome.
Anyway don’t stay with the false impression that if you use IE (Internet Explorer) the chances to become infected are 100%. There is always a way to increase the level of protection even without the use of side programs. For now the most used version of IE is Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0. We will examine how to make safer IE7.0. To increase the level of security you need some minor adjustments to Internet Explorer 7.0.
Before any actions you must know that after these settings you may have problems with certain pages.

What is increased security with IE7.0? Well lets make it like a simple tut:

Start Internet Explorer and go to Tools> Internet Options> Security.

Internet - here include all the sites that are not in other groups. Depending on what sites you visit should evaluate the level of security that will put.

Local Intranet - these are the sites of local network. Usually IE should recognize these sites, but it is not always like that.

Trusted sites - here you can disable things that you interfere. All others must be enabled!

Restricted sites - these are sites that do not trust. It is good idea everything to be prohibited.

ActiveX controls and plug-ins - can easily disable them, but you must know that flash animations will be open. By ActiveX some sites can get full access to our computer. If we waver in the Internet group to enable ActiveX or to disallow you can select “Prompt” to ask before launching ActiveX controls.

Download signed ActiveX controls: prompt

Download unsigned ActiveX controls: disable

Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: disable

Run ActiveX controls and plugins: prompt

Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: enable

Downloads - here you can choose whether to download files and fonts or not. Note that if you disable download-a file will not be able to download and open files in a different page.

File download: enable

Font download: prompt

Acess data sources across domains: disable

Allow META refresh: enable

Display mixed content: prompt

Don't prompt for client certificate selection ...: disable

Drag and drop or copy and paste files: enable

Installation of desktop items: disable

Launch programs and files in IFRAME: prompt

Navigate sub-frames across different domains: enable

Software channel permissions: high safety

Submit non-encrypted form data: enable

Userdata persistence: disable

Scripting - many sites use VBS or Java script. Disabling scripts will lead to problems with a many pages: load pages from the drop-down menu, moving text and more.

Active scripting: enable

Allow paste operations via script: prompt

Scripting of Java applets: enable

Anyway it is your choice what level of security you will consider. It depends on what sites your visit and what level of interactivity you prefer. As many things in the live you shall look for the equilibrium between your needs and the level of security.
